By submitting a payment or enquiry through www.writtenbyemily.com, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please do not proceed with the submission of your payment. Wedding and Event Stationery

Designing and Printing

The time from the initial proof to signing off a final design is variable, and is dependent on when the initial enquiry is made, the speed of decision-making, and how many revisions you need. However, rough estimates are set out below:

1. I aim to provide initial designs within 1-2 weeks from receiving your mood board sign off, payment and all information including final wording.

2. I aim to provide your first round of revisions within 1-2 weeks – to speed this process up, where possible please provide all revisions in a single email, in typed (not handwritten) format, clearly and concisely setting out your amends. Please note any significant revisions or changes to the brief at this point may incur additional charges and delays.

3. I aim to provide any final minor revisions within 1 week. Please note any significant revisions or changes to the brief at this point may incur additional charges and delays.

4. Once I have your sign off to send the files to print, allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. If you have ordered calligraphy envelopes, please allow an additional week.

Any timings stated during the quoting & designing process relies upon the client providing:

  • Clear wording for your invitations and on the day stationery, in an editable format such as a Word or Google Document. All changes to the wording should be made in your original document and highlighted so that I don’t miss them.

  • Clear and concise feedback in good time, in line with their original brief and moodboard.

Revisions

Small edits are included in these two rounds of revisions (e.g. please make the illustration larger, please add this road, please make the green brighter), but more significant changes to the brief may incur additional charges (e.g. changing a venue or the style of illustration).

Shipping

Shipping is fully tracked and insured. Domestic UK Shipping is via Royal Mail First Class Signed For, and International Shipping is via Fed Ex World Service.

If an item arrives damaged, it is insured for a replacement. Please check your delivery and email me within 48 hours of receipt if there are any issues. If you have missed your print deadline due to wording changes, then I will always do my best to sen a reprint, however delivery in time for the event is not guaranteed.

Shipping charges are usually included within my price quotes unless otherwise stated. All invitations are sent directly to you unassembled and do not include postage on to your guests, unless otherwise agreed before the sale.

Refunds and Cancellations

A 50% deposit must be paid upfront and is non-refundable, and the remaining balance is due when the designs are signed off, before they are printed. In the unlikely event that you should decide not to proceed with production, a partial, discretionary refund of printing fees may be given depending on what materials have already been ordered and processed.

If purchasing on the day stationery for a wedding less than 8 weeks away, then a deposit will not be taken and the full balance must be paid upfront.

I will only print according to the approved proof once this has been signed off in writing. If replacements are required due to a client’s error, the printing costs will be charged in full plus an additional 20% admin fee. Please always remember to thoroughly check design, grammar, spelling, dates, quantities, and size prior to final approval. I recommend printing them out to do this if you can, and asking a friend to double check them as well.

Due to the bespoke nature of my business, quantities cannot be reduced once production commences. In the event that you require a re-print due to a change in your event because of the Covid-19 pandemic, re-prints are charged at actual cost plus an additional 20% admin fee.

I reserve the right to cancel and refund or partially refund a project if the brief changes significantly or if I am unable to fulfil the order due to events outside my control. I reserve the right to cancel and refund or partially refund a project if a client is rude, aggressive, or breaches copyright.

Digital Designs

All digital designs are non-refundable. By purchasing a digital design, you acknowledge that you give up your right to cancel this purchase under EU consumer laws.

Copyright

All artwork is the sole property of Emily Greenaway and may not be used by any third party without written permission. Copying or reproducing artwork created by Emily Greenaway is strictly prohibited and this includes digitally scanning calligraphy and using it to create a font, re-print or other media. Any images of my products appearing within a third party publication (including public social media, magazine, or book) must come with attribution. All other uses must be agreed to in advance in writing.

If there is an outstanding balance owed on the account, the copyright it revoked and images of my work cannot be printed or shared in any public domain.

Confidentiality

Unless you specifically request confidentiality in advance of commencing the work, I can display materials, paintings and prints created for you, and share the process behind making them, online, on social media, and at trade fairs or similar events. Personal information including wedding websites and guest addresses will be protected.
